Lush and Sephora Haul

I hadn't bought anything new since February so it seemed like it was time for a little shopping. I didn't go too crazy but I did pick up a few things.

After exams I like to have a nice long bath to relax and unwind after the craziness of the last term. From Lush I picked up my all time favourite bath balm, Butterball and one I've never tried called The Experimenter. I also picked up a Bubble Bar in The Comforter.

While browsing the Sephora website I saw this Too Faced set and I'm a total sucker for value sets so I just had to buy it. I've never tried any of these Too Faced products but I've heard a lot about them. I actually prefer smaller sized products. I have a lot of makeup so I actually don't finish products very often making this set perfect for me. The set comes with: Hangover RX Replenishing Face Primer, Shadow Insurance, Chocolate Soleil Bronzer, Melted Liquid Lipstick in Chihuahua and Better than Sex Mascara. 

I also got some deluxe samples with my order including a mini Flash Photo Gloss from the Estee Edit and a mini Gravity Mud Mask from GlamGlow.

The Perfect Pamper Night

Welcome to the 12 Days of Blogmas - Day 9

I always have a pamper night after my last exam. It's a great way to transition from the chaos of studying to the relaxation and festivities of the holiday's. So for today's post I'll be letting you know what I do to pamper myself and hopefully give you some good ideas of what you can do for your own pamper night.

I start off with a face mask. My favourite is the Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment. While my mask is on, I set up for my bath.

I love to light some candles and I usually set up my laptop so I can watch Netflix or catch up on Vlogmas videos on Youtube.

 A bath is nothing without a Lush bathbomb so for my bath I used Golden Wonder which is one of my favourites! It smells great and creates a beautiful, colourful bath,

While in the bath I like to use my Lush Ro's Argan Body Conditioner. It's so luxurious and hydrating plus it smells wonderful.

I also like to do a hair mask on pamper nights. My favourite is the Briogeo Don't Despair Repair. It makes my hair really soft and shiny. After a pamper night my mom always mentions how great my hair looks.

Once I'm done my bath and I'm all relaxed and clean, I get dressed in my coziest PJ's. I have a fuzzy sweater from la Vie en Rose that I LOVE. I then moisturize with my favourite winter scent, Bath and Body Works Winter Candy Apple.

 I also like to rehydrate my face with my Glamglow Thirstymud.

I then like to put on some Christmas songs to get me in the holiday spirit. I am loving listening to Michael Buble's Christmas album. I like to paint my nails next. If you want to find out how to get these festive nails you can find it here.

Once my nails are dry I then make myself a drink. My current favourite is Rolo Hot Chocolate and I snuggle up with my dog and watch Christmas Movies. This pamper night included my favourite holiday movie, Love Actually.

Pamper nights are the best. I don't do them often enough.

Ro's Argan Body Conditioner vs. Nivea Body Milk

I've become a fan of in shower body conditioners recently. I find it faster and easier to condition in the shower than with a lotion or body butter once I get out. I thought I would review a cheap drugstore option and a more expensive Lush option.

Ro's Argan Body Conditioner

This is my favourite body conditioner that I've tried. It's super moisturizing and it smells absolutely amazing. It has a rose scent that lingers but isn't so strong that it interferes with any other perfumes you may wear. It's thick but once you massage it, it sinks into the skin well. It doesn't leave me feeling greasy after which is the biggest bonus for me. The only downside is if you use a lot to condition your whole body, the pot won't last you long. I tend to only use a finger tip amount for each limb and it's lasted me a while. It retails at Lush for $32.95.

Nivea In-Shower Body Milk

This is a fairly good, cheap alternative to the Lush body conditioner. I have the one for dry to very dry skin. Compared to the Lush conditioner, this is thinner and doesn't smell as lovely (but the scent isn't offensive). It does a good job hydrating but I find if I don't rinse it off really well it can leave a greasy film on my skin. The main difference is this is a quicker product. It doesn't need the same amount of time to sink in as the Lush conditioner, it can be rinsed off immediately. There's also almost double the product. It can be found at drugstores for $4.99.

Overall I think the Lush Body Conditioner is really worth the price but if you're trying to save your pennies the Nivea Body Milk is a decent alternative.

Holiday Drugstore and Lush Haul - ❄ Blogmas

I always treat myself to some lush goodies at the end of each semester. I find baths are a great way to relax and pamper myself and Lush is the best place to get bath products. I also have a few items I've picked up at the drugstore over the last month.

Butterbear- Butterball is one of my favouroite Lush Bath bombs and this is just a cuter more festive version (this is also the only one I've actually used).

I was also talked into buying a massage bar in From Dusk till Dawn and the Vanilla Puff Dusting powder to go along with it.
I also got a Lush  Liquid Lipstick in the colour Confident as an early Christmas Present so I thought I would include it in this haul.

Golden Wonder and Butterbear

DRUGSTORE 

 I've been dying for the Maybelline Matte Lipsticks to hit drugstores in Canada so when they finally did I picked up 2. Siren in Scarlet (perfect for Christmas) and Touch of Spice which I've worn literally everyday since I got it.

Can you tell I'm really into matte lips lately. I got the NYX solf matte lip cream in San Paulo. I love the formulation of these.

I got two palettes from essence in how to make nude eyes makeup box and all about nude. I have a review coming on these two palettes later in the week.

Finally I've been looking for a brush to apply cream blush. I wanted the e.l.f small stippling brush but couldn't find it so I got the Sonia Kashuk Small Duo-Fiber Multipurpose brush instead.
